5 day/4 night walking safari in the Selous Game reserve with a professional guide for between 2 - 6 guests...

Each day of this spectacular walking safari is designed to be different and to offer unrivalled exposure to this stunning African landscape.

Walks are concentrated around the early morning and late afternoons with opportunities for fishing and relaxing in the shade, perhaps by a waterhole, soaking up the smells and sounds of Africa. There will be approximately 10-12kms per day of easy walking.

A fully serviced fly-camp with an experience support crew to move the camp, take care of chores and to provide delicious food, cold drinks & hot showers throughout the safari. Accommodation includes large mosquito nets with bedrolls, shared bathrooms with bucket showers.

Game viewing highlights will include large herds of zebra, wildebeest and buffalo.  Hippos and crocs on the rivers and lakes, good elephant sightings and great birding.

Included
An experienced and knowledgeable armed professional guide, Full Board accommodation. Domestic flights from and to dar Es Salaam at the beginning and end of itinerary and airstrip transfers. All drinks except Champagne, a laundry service, flying doctor coverage and all Parks fees.

Optional 1st night at Sand Rivers Selous, additional boat trips and game drives not mentioned in the itinerary.

Best Time of the Year

The best time of year to take advantage of the Selous Walking Safari is between July and March. NOT April - June during the rainy season as most camps close due to problems with accessibility.

Tips and Notes

• The minimum age requirement for this safari is 12 years old.
• Prices are based on 2 people sharing, for groups between 2-6.
• We can easily incorporate a beach break to Ras Kutani or any Zanzibar/Pemba hotel for rest and relaxation at the end of your safari, alternatively you may want to pursue further safari activities in Tanzania.

Best access to Dar es Salaam International Airport (DAR) with Kenyan Airways via Nairobi or British Airways via Nairobi (NBO).
