Skeleton Coast Safaris
Skeleton Coast Safaris is owned and operated by the Schoeman family and specialises in taking visitors to the Skeleton Coast Park, Namib-Naukluft Park, western Damaraland and western Kaokoland.
Skeleton Coast Safaris are unique in that they offer the use of the aircraft as a safari vehicle to view animals and the shipwrecks along the Namibian Coastline and Namib Desert.
They offer opportunities to visit Ugab Rock formations, the red lava and yellow sandstone Huab environs; Bushmen rock engravings, the living 'Fossil' tree, and settlements of the Himba people.
Skeleton Coast Safaris are owners and operators of camps located at the Huab River in Damaraland, in the Hoarusib Valley in Kaokoland and on the northwestern Namibian border overlooking the Kusene River.
Skeleton Coast Safaris also offer flights from Windhoek, across the Khomas Highlands to Conception Bay. They also offer a choice of safari packages at various lengths and destinations in the region.
The purpose of Skeleton Coast Safaris is not to view game but to experience the freedom, beauty and strange solitude of the area; seeing game is therefore considered a bonus.
