Bomani Camp

Zimbabwe

  • Small & exclusive 16 bedded camp
  • 4 spacious en-suite tents
  • Views over Ngamo Plain & Ngamo Bomani Pan

Bomani Camp is situated in Ngamo Forest Area, just 2kms from the Ngamo gate entrance into in Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe’s renowned big 5 game area.

This remote and private camp lies in the Ngamo Plain, an ancient fossil lake historically formed by Kalahari sands from the west that covered the calcrete lake-beds creating pans in the large open grasslands dotted with Ilala Palms that are typical of this area today.

The camp is small, private and exclusive accommodating a maximum of just sixteen guests. This allows for the staff to extend a personalised service and attention to detail in an effort to make your time in camp a memorable experience.

A true African bush camp, there is no electricity or generators to disturb the peace at Bomani. Instead, at night the camp is lit using an array of paraffin lamps.

Each of the spacious tents have an en-suite facilities including flush toilets, shower and basins with hot and cold running water. In the cooler months hot water bottles are placed at the foot of your bed to keep you snug and warm. The tents are cozy, comfortably furnished and very welcoming.

All tents boast a private veranda overlooking the Ngamo Plain and the Ngamo Bomani pan and is a spectacular place to sip your morning tea or afternoon cocktails.

Bomani Camp combines perfectly with its sister properties: Gorges Lodge overlooking the Batoka Gorge at Victoria Falls, and Sidinda Lodge on the banks of the Lower Zambezi River.

A typical daily schedule at Bomani:

  • Early morning tea or coffee being brought to your tent and optional early morning breakfast
  • Early morning game drive into Hwange National Park from 06h00/07h00
  • Return to camp late morning for lunch and possibly a short siesta
  • Aternoon/ evening activity can be a walk with your professional guide
  • Return to camp in the early evening, freshen up and meet at the campfire before adjourning for a superb three course meal

Other activities include full day safari trips into Hwange National Park and spotlighing for game n the Forest area around the camp.
