The lodge is situated in the extreme north of the Chobe National Park, along the Chobe River, but on the Namibian side in a private concession.

Excellent views are offered across an expanse of vast floodplains and savanna known as the Puku Flats.

Each of the 12 thatch and brick suites come with twin or king-size beds and feature private decks, combined bedroom and lounge areas as well as walk-in showers in en suite bathrooms. The furnishings are eclectic, yet distinctly African in warm, earthy tones.

The main lodge area is also made of thatch and timber balustrades and houses the lounge, library, dining room and a bar with 270 degree views across the Chobe River.

There is an open boma as well as a plunge pool with sun deck.

Chobe Savanna Lodge is closely associated with Lianshulu Bush Lodge in the Caprivi Strip and can be combined alongside other Desert and Delta camps including Camp Okavango, Camp Moremi, Tsaro Elephant Lodge and Xugana Island Lodge in the Okavango Delta; Chobe Game Lodge and Mowana Safari Lodge in Chobe National Park; and Savuti Safari Lodge on the banks of northern Botswana's Savute Channel.
