Merged into a natural acacia forest bordering Benguerra Bay and encircled by silver beaches, coral reefs and turquoise seas, this up-market lodge offers exclusivity in a tranquil setting. Benguerra Lodge exudes an East-African-cum Arabic decor in line with the ancient tradition of the Bazaruto Archipelago, once the playground of the Queen of Sheba and the trading route of old Arabia.
Guests stay in eleven thatched chalets set no more than twenty metres from the beach amongst indigenous Acacia and Mahogany forests. While it is an island lodge, care has been taken to maintain the feeling that one is nevertheless embarking upon an African marine safari.
The main lodge building comprises reception offices, lounge, dining room and patio area and is flanked by the eleven comfortable thatched chalets. On the large patio, guests can enjoy a cocktail and sit back after the day's events.
A private Villa is available for honeymooners or family groups that are searching for further solitude and exclusivity in this idyllic island setting. Benguerra Lodge offers a wide range of water sport activities and other recreational activities around the island.
