Kalahari Plains Camp is situated in a remote part of the vast Central Kalahari Game Reserve (CKGR) in Botswana and offers some of Southern Africa's best game-viewing in the summer months (Nov-Apr). Located in the Kalahari Desert biome in central Botswana, the reserve is one of the world's largest conservation areas at 5 million hectares.
The camp is situated on a large pan just 20km from the famous Deception Valley and consists of 10 en-suite canvas rooms, each with a sleep-out area above - perfect for those wishing to sleep out under the African night sky. Each tent is raised off the ground providing sweeping views across the spacious Kalahari.
The main area is raised off the ground and features a lounge, dining area and central bar. There is also a separate swimming pool and deck area.
Kalahari Plains Camp combines perfectly with the Okavango Delta or Linyanti to provide a comprehensive Botswana experience during the winter months (May-Oct) and is a fantastic game area in its own right during the summer months from November to April.
