High on the banks of the Great Fish River is the Kwandwe Game Lodge, in the Kwandwe Private Game Reserve. Ideal for a group of up to six people, the 1905 farmhouse is a unique combination of classic architecture with a few modern touches.

With a full size swimming pool and a gazebo, a library with many first edition books on the region and a rich history, it is an idyllic haven to soak up the African bush.

The park is full with thousands of wild animals, including the Big Five - elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard - and a huge variety of unusual nocturnal animals which are regularly spotted.
