Mchenja meaning the ebony tree, is set beneath a magnificent grove of these trees on the banks of the Luangwa River, giving guests excellent views of the beautiful surrounding landscape of the South Luangwa National Park.

The rooms consists of five stylishly designed tents each with outside shower and inside bath. There is a small pool in the main chitenje alongside the bar allowing guests to seek cool refuge during the heat of the day.

Most meals are served under the magnificent trees outside.
