The chalets at Chamilandu nestle in thick, riverine vegetation on the banks of the Luangwa River in the South Luangwa National Park.

Each chalet has been built on two metre stilts and the reed and thatch exteriors blend in perfectly with the natural surroundings. The interiors are a stylish mix of iron and brass furniture.

Activities available from Chamilandu include various duration walking safaris with specialist guides, morning and night game drives and spectaular evening sundowners in the bush.

The camp sleeps a maximum of eight guests at a time.

Chamilandu is closely associated with other stylish bushcamps in the South Luangwa National Park as part of the Bushcamps Co. These include Kapamba Bush Camp, Chindeni, Bilimungwe,  Kuyenda Bush Camp, Zungulila Walking Trails Camp and the larger Mfuwe Lodge.



Privately Owned - South Luangwa
This camp is privately owned and run by Zambian born directors. There are seven bushcamps and one lodge in this family group with the main management office based in Mfuwe. The directors live on site and personally manage all of the camps.
