On the outskirts of White River, Mpumalanga, Jatinga Country Lodge is a delightful colonial lodge in which the outstanding cuisine and personalised service leave you in a world of abundant comfort.

With hammocks dotted around the gardens and a secluded pool deck, afternoons can be spent relaxing lazily. An elevated wooden deck is a wonderful spot for sundowners, as it overlooks the White River, an area of outstanding beauty.

With a huge variety of birdlife, and a comprehensive check list in every room, bird-watching becomes part of the day as guests try to spot the fantastic South African birds.

With rooms decorated in different styles in the Lodge, and views of a citrus orchard and pine forest in the Orchard and Forest rooms, the rooms over a comforting and secluded haven for guests. The suites are in an English Country garden or Colonial theme, and two of them boast dual open fire places for enjoyment in the lounge or the bedroom.

The honeymoon suite is an open-plan suite with a private garden, plunge pool and an outdoor shower, ideal for a romantic start to a new life.

There is a main restaurant for more conventional dining, and in a less usual setting the wine cellar, fill to the brim with hundreds of bottles of red wine. The Lord Milner Pub is in the Lodge's main building, and here you can have a quiet drink served by a welcoming barman.
