Accommodation:

The Lodge has four spacious, en-suite family rooms, tastefully decorated in cool, nautical colours and all opening onto a large patio.

All rooms have spectacular views of the lake and look out over Thumbi West Island.  The garden has shady lawns, leading to a clean beach and crystal clear water.

The ocean going luxury yacht "Mufasa" is moored close by and forms a major part of the lodge activities.  Mufasa is a fully equipped and crewed ocean going catamaran, which sleeps eight guests in comfort and style.

The layout includes two bathrooms, four double cabins, 2 crew berths, saloon, galley, cockpit under shade bimini and a dive platform.  Mufusa is the only ocean-going, live aboard yacht on Lake Malawi

• The dive centre has all the necessary scuba diving equipment and a resident dive instructor offers professional PADI tuition.  Courses offered include Resort, Open Water 1 and a range of advanced courses.
• There are over 20 dive sites in close proximity to Danforth Yachting, offering a variety of different dive experiences.  Lake Malawi is ideal for the diving enthusiast: clear fresh warm water, no tides or currents and over 400 different species of tropical cichlids, unique to Lake Malawi.

  “Mufasa” is fully equipped for a ive-aboard experience, plus the back-up of the Lodge to return to after a few days spent on-board. There is flexibility to decide how many nights to spend on the yacht, and how much day sailing, returning to the comfort and spaciousness of the Lodge in the evenings. This is a great option for families, and for those who would like to experience sleeping on the yacht, without being confined to the boat for too long!
