Xugana Island Lodge has been built on a spectacular island next to a large lagoon in a permanent part of the Okavango Delta.

Each of the large reed and thatch chalets has been built on raised platforms on the shaded fringe of the island and offer en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers.

The lounge, bar and dining areas are set under fig and leadwood tree canopies in open-sided thatched areas.  There is a swimming pool among the gardens in the centre of the island.

Dinners are served outside, either on the islands or on the lagoon.

Xugana Island Lodge is closely associated with other camps in the delta including Camp Moremi, Camp Okavango, and Tsaro Elephant Lodge; Chobe Game Lodge and Mowana Safari Lodge in Chobe National Park; Savuti Safari Lodge on the banks of northern Botswana's Savute Channel; and Chobe Savanna Lodge and Lianshulu Bush Lodge in Namibia's Caprivi Strip.

Xugana Island Lodge is closed annually between 13 January and 12 February
