Emerson & Green Hotel is the second highest building in Stone Town and was once the residence of one of the richest men in the empire.

Now it has been restored to its former glory, a captivating mixture of carved doors, hand painted glass lamps, Arab-style pillows, Zanzibari antiques and historic architecture.

Each of the ten guestrooms is beautifully decorated in traditional Zanzibari style. All rooms except for one, have large stone bathtubs. The beds are swathed with romantic netting.

The Tower Top restaurant has been described as offering of the finest dining views in the world. It is the ideal place for breakfast, sundowners or any meal you can think of.
