Lake Manyara is a plush and intimate safari lodge, set in a mahogany forest on the lakeshore of Lake Manyara.

Guests are taken to one of just ten tree houses, built on stilts in the boughs of huge mahogany trees, and tucked away discreetly in the surrounding forests.

Each timber and makuti (palm fronds) tree-house features large windows, four-poster bed-like drapings and elegantly understated contemporary furnishings. The rooms lead onto wide open decks that extend into the forest.

The guest area is open plan and features a living room and gallery overlooking the forest.

Meals are enjoyed either in the open kitchen and dining area or in the boma (reeded enclosure), on the guests' private decks or on the lakeshore.

The lodge also has a stylish lap pool.
